TCS bags Cricket job

TCS, it seems, has bagged the job for providing technical assitance to the Indian cricket team. The professionals from TCS are conducting a two day closed room session. Thinking tools eh? I would sure like to work on this project for TCS. Anyone in TCS reading? I am recruitable.

Love Triangle

Heroine-Hero-Underworld. Seems like another Bollywood potboiler. But this time the hero is siding with the baddies. Nice. No?

P0rn Police

I was at the Pune station just about to board a train for Hyderabad. I was standing in the queue of ICICI bank ATM (a pretty long one at that). I was talking on my cell phone (Nokia 3230) when somebody tapped on my shoulder. I was surprised to find that it was a policeman. I asked him what it was. It turned out that he wanted to inspect my phone for p0rn content! Fortunately I had none and let him satisfy himself. Why would I keep anything on my cell (1/4 gb memory when I had a 40gb hard disk at the office! Only if he had checked my cell for unregistered software and warez the result would have been quite different.

But the point is, why is the police so keen on cleansing the cell phones of p0rn content? Is it because of some new MMS doing rounds? We will soon find out.

My first skirmish with police turned out to be a non event. But one advice for the policemen if they are reading this. If you are really keen on cleaning the society, there are far more serious crimes to be controlled first. Channelise your energies there.

Update: Hmm.. May be because of this.

Future shock

Even as the NASA celebrated the 4th of July with a display of spectacular fireworks in space, it is being sued by a Russian astrologer who claims that the US space agency's bombardment of the Temple 1 comet will upset her horoscope!

Yet another instance of human beings foiling astrology! For the first, read my post Deep Impact (is the similarity in the name of the article and the project just a coincidence?).
